As a business traveler, I appreciated the handy location for getting to Chatsworth and the Monsal Trail. The breakfast provided was excellent, and the bar area was beautiful with a lovely open fire. The staff at the hotel were exceptional and really cared about providing the best service. The interior of the hotel had retained its charm and was in keeping with the age of the building. The food in the bar was of top restaurant quality and reasonably priced. I found the facilities and amenities provided at the hotel to be satisfactory as a business traveler.
Felt like part of the family, no reason to complain.

The staff was very pleasant, helped with every request. The rooms were quiet and included a sofa bed, central heating, and tea and coffee making equipment etc. Impeccable service was provided.
The room was a little disappointing.

The breakfast at Peacock At Rowsley was a real disappointment. It took forever for our food to arrive and when it did, the kippers were undercooked. We were so frustrated that we complained to reception and they refunded £28, which hardly made up for the high room cost of £320. Service like this is simply unacceptable.
The location of the hotel was really convenient for visiting Chatsworth and the Monsal Trail. The air conditioning in the room was a bonus, keeping us comfortable throughout our stay.

I recently stayed at The Peacock in Great Rowsley for a few nights and it was a wonderful experience. The location was serene, nestled close to a post-office and retail park. The breakfast was excellent, and the bar area was absolutely stunning, complete with a cozy open fire. The staff at the hotel were exceptional, going out of their way to provide top-notch service. The food in the bar was of restaurant quality and reasonably priced. The interior had a charming ambiance that matched the age of the building. Additionally, the hotel was conveniently located for visiting Chatsworth and the Monsal Trail. my stay was delightful.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at a hotel with its own private parking, fancy restaurant, and even a garden. How posh! The terrace was a lovely place to sip tea and observe the peasants.
Oh, how inconvenient! No fridge and a scalding towel rail.

I loved the hotel's beautiful garden and the free private parking was a real treat. The restaurant was fantastic, but maybe if they served drinks quicker, I wouldn't have had time to enjoy the garden so much.
Oh, and of course, the world-class restaurant would benefit from a faster drinks service. Who needs a refreshing cocktail before their meal anyway?

I gotta say, the value for my money at the Peacock was spot on. The room was charming and had that old-world feel I love. Plus, the location was quiet but convenient, with a post office and retail park nearby. But what really made my stay stand out was the staff. They were absolutely exceptional, going above and beyond to make sure I had the best service possible. Kudos to them!
Now, if I had to nitpick, I'd say the breakfast could've been better if the kippers were cooked properly. But hey, these things happen, and they refunded us for it.

the stay at peacock at rowsley was even better than my last visit in great rowsley. the staff were incredibly cheerful and helpful, and the bar had top quality food at reasonable prices. the location was quiet, yet close to a post-office and retail park. overall, the service and amenities exceeded my expectations.
Breakfast was a disappointment.

The interior had that old-fashioned charm, just like stepping back in time. The food in the bar was top-notch and didn't break the bank. And can we talk about the staff? They were always cheery and eager to help, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Plus, the location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions like Chatsworth House and the Monsal Trail.
But let's be real, there were some downsides to our xmas experience. Orders were taking forever and our kippers arrived an hour late and barely cooked.
